In the field of Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED), we are actively contributing to the design and development of the AI Education Accelerator in Smartfeld – an innovation and learning space for “technology + creativity.” The aim is to develop an expanded range of offers for teachers, including the following formats: the “AI Explorer Lab” for practical testing of AI tools in the classroom and the “AI Education Academy” for systematic continuing education in the field of AI and didactics. This involves research and development in the field of AI-supported learning environments: we explore, design, and evaluate innovative learning designs based on AI models (e.g. large language models). The focus is on the learning-promoting, didactically sound use of these technologies in schools (STEM subjects) and vocational training.
